Inauguration of Center of Excellence in IoT and Measurement Science

SISTec inaugurated the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in IoT and Measurement Science in collaboration with Gaia Smart Cities. 

The partnership aims to foster innovation, research, and industry-academia collaboration in emerging technologies.
A key highlight of the event was the keynote session by Dr. Sumit D. Chowdhury, Founder of Gaia Smart Cities, on “IoT for a Smarter Future.” He emphasised the growing importance of measurement science, shared valuable industry insights, and engaged in an interactive session with students.

During the visit, dignitaries also explored other Centres of Excellence at SISTec, including:

* Renault Nissan CoE in Automotive Technology
* UltraTech CoE in Sustainable Construction Materials
* CoE in Semiconductor Technology
* Netlink-Lumenore CoE in Data Analytics

The event concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between SISTec and Gaia Smart Cities, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership that reinforces SISTec’s commitment to industry-driven education. 

This collaboration will empower students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the rapidly evolving technology landscape.
