Sagar Group of Institutions-SISTec hosted the RGPV Curriculum Development Bootcamp, intended to develop a framework for skill-based certification in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The event witnessed the presence of Dr. Sunil Kumar Gupta (Vice Chancellor, RGPV), Dr. Rajesh Kumar Bhargava (Assistant Registrar, Academic, RGPV), Dr. Shikha Agrawal (Director, T & P RGPV), Dr. Jyoti Deshmukh, (Group Director, SISTec), Dr. Keshavendra Choudhary (Principal, SISTec), Dr. Manish Billore (Principal, SISTec Ratibad), Dr. Swati Saxena (Vice-Principal, SISTec), Dr. Manoj Kumar Deshpande ( Director, Prestige Indore), Professors from various Universities & Institutes like VIT, LNCT, Oriental Group, Corporate College, bhopal and Technical expert from TCS and IIT Spoken Tutorial.
To improve students' employability, Dr. Sunil Kumar Gupta (Vice Chancellor, RGPV) educated institutes to emphasize regional language more in their course content. Another important aspect is project-based learning rather than theory-based learning. The evaluation procedure should be broken down into several parts and be very transparent. He also suggested institutes for industry-institute collaboration, which would provide faculties with more authority over skill development initiatives.
Mr. Rahul Dubey (HOD - SISTec, CSE) suggested some Ist year exit-level courses including office automation, Hardware Maintenance, and networking, Web Designing using Word Press, E-Content Development, and Search Engine Optimization. Dr. Laxmi D. A and Dr.Rihu Mathew (Senior Assistant Professor, VIT - Bhopal) suggested creating course templates for every course, adding entrepreneurial skills, and focusing more on soft skills, communication skills, and hand skills. Mr. Rupesh Sizariya from TCS suggested adopting Agile methodologies while preparing the Bridge course syllabus.
