International Women's Day Celebration at Sagar Group of Institutions - SISTec Ratibad was conducted by the Department of Basic Science and Electrical Engineering in association with the college National Service Scheme NSS Unit.

On this auspicious occasion SISTec-Ratibad family felicitated eminent women from the society:

1. Mrs. Kumud Tiwari, Managing partner, ParidhiIndustries, Bhopal

2. Ms. Nidhi Saxena, Asst. Commissioner of Police (Women Security), Bhopal.

With the theme “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”, the welcome speech was delivered by Ms. Kavita Kushwah Assistant Prof. Electrical Engineering Department.

The guests were felicitated by Dr. Manish Billore, Principal, SISTec Ratibad, who addressed the gathering with a shloka यत्र नार्यस्तु पूज्यन्ते, रमन्ते तत्र देवताः. He also admired women and their accountabilities in different walks of life.

Mrs. Kumud Tiwari elicited the role of women in family and society. She advised the girl students to always be with the resolution to achieve success and be economically self-sufficient. Ms. Nidhi Saxena interacted with the girls and asked them to learn self-defense practices. She gave a deep inside of topics and revealed some interesting facts like how to identify and defend the accused.

Ms. Sreena Sreedharan, Asst. Manager, HR, accentuated the importance of this day by explaining Break the Bias. The students of the Electrical Engineering Department gave a live demonstration of self–defense techniques.

To mark the occasion, a sports activity Tug of War was organized by the NSS coordinator Mr. Mukesh Mishra, wherein a large number of girls and ladies participated.
