Bhopal is the capital city of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh It is known as the City of Lakes for its various natural and artificial lakes and for being one of the greenest cities in India. It is the 16th largest city in India and 131st in the world. After formation of Madhya Pradesh, the state capital Bhopal was a part of the Sehore district. It was bifurcated in 1972 and a new district Bhopal was formed.
Founded in 1707, the city was the capital of the former Bhopal State, a princely state of the British ruled by the Nawabs of Bhopal. Numerous heritage structures from this period include the Taj-ul-Masajid and Taj Mahal palace. In 1984, the city was struck by the Bhopal disaster, one of the worst industrial disasters in history.
Bhopal houses various educational and research institutions and installations of national importance, including ISRO's Master Control Facility, BHEL, and AMPRI. Bhopal is home to the largest number of institutes of National Importance in India, namely IISER, MANIT, SPA, AIIMS, NLIU, IIFM and IIIT (currently functioning from a temporary campus inside MANIT).
Bhopal was selected as one of the first twenty Indian cities (the first phase) to be developed as a smart city under PM Narendra Modi's flagship Smart Cities Mission. Bhopal was also rated as the cleanest state capital city in India for three consecutive years, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Sagar Institute of Science & Technology, (SISTec) Bhopal was established
on 2007 as a joint venture “Sagar Group of Institutions”. The foundation
stone of SISTec Bhopal was laid by Shri Sudhir Kumar Agrawal, with
the aim of nurturing talent and setting high standards of education and
excellence. It is approved by All India Council of Technical Education
(AICTE), duly affiliated to RGPV Bhopal.
In 2018 SISTec received the “Fastest Growing Indian Company Excellence Award “. Won the ICONS of Madhya Pradesh award by Times of India. IBC 24 Excellence Award for Excellence in Contribution to Madhya Pradesh. Achieved the Best Placement Award 2020 in Central India and others.
The Institute has 12 departments including courses like B.E. / M.Tech. / MBA / B.Pharm. / M.Pharm. The Institute, with number of faculty, students, administrative and supporting staff, is a self-contained campus. It is located on the outskirts of Bhopal on 5 acres of sprawling, lush green campus. It has been developing from strength to strength ever since it was established in 2007. We are poised for bright and promising future with the aim to generate technical graduates, and post-graduates of highest standards who could provide technological leadership to the region. The courses provided by us have been completely restructured and prepared as per the needs of society and industries. The institute has achieved impressive placement for its students, with top industrial houses and software companies recruiting the students in large numbers.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Sagar Group of Institutions has been functioning since the inception of the institution and comprises of various modern laboratories and workshops in order to cater the need of the students undergoing the B.Tech and four M.Tech program.
Since these skills are essential to almost everything that is made, mechanical engineering is perhaps the broadest and most diverse engineering disciplines. It plays an important central role in industries such as automotive (car chassis each subsystem, its engine, transmission, sensors play); Aerospace (aircraft, aircraft engines, avionics and control systems for spacecraft); Biotechnology (implants, prosthetic devices, fluidic systems for the pharmaceutical industry); Computer and Electronics (disk drives, printers, cooling systems, semiconductor equipment); Micro-electromechanical systems, or MEMS (sensors, actuators, micro-power generation); Energy Conversion (gas turbines, wind turbines, solar energy, fuel cells); Environmental control (HVAC, air conditioning, refrigeration, compressors); Automation (robots, data and image acquisition, identification, control); Manufacturing (machining, machine tools, prototyping, micro-fabrication); and many more.
The laboratories of Applied Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Thermal Engineering, Heat Exchanger Lab. Material Testing, Hydraulic Machine, Machine Dynamics, Production Engineering, Internal Combustion Engine Lab., Thermodynamics lab., Heat and Mass Transfer lab., RAC lab., TOMM Lab., DOM Lab., FM Lab, MC & MT Lab., Automobile Lab., including ATV, BoV, Solar Powered Go Karta hybrid vehicle. ED Lab. and Machine Design Lab. etc. adorn the pride of the department. The workshops and laboratories are well equipped with modern tools and operative charts and with necessary equipments and machineries of latest generation which give insight to the students for future technological support in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Students are trained by highly skilled laboratory technicians to perform the jobs such as, welding, moulding, designing, fitting, shaping, grinding, testing, etc. so as to make them competent to face the challenges in the job-market.
The department strappingly focus on imparting practical knowledge to the students and categorizes national level working model competition titled “Nirmaan” every year. The department also keep itself modernized and rejuvenated through SISTec Mechanical Engineers Association (SMEA) a body of budding technocrats that works to systematize different technical events at the college level. The extra-ordinary mechanical engineering labs and modernised workshops are the integral part of the department to upgrade and diversify technical skills of students.
The prime objective of the conference (TIME-2021) is to promote research and development in Mechanical Engineering. TIME-2021 will promote and provide scientific information exchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, discuss the recent innovations, concerns and trends in the region of Mechanical Engineering and Intelligence working globally. With the volatile advancement of Mechanical Engineering and its applications, the challenging problems in innovation to serve the sovereign applications are growing exponentially. Thus, the major objective of this conference is to bring various experts of research society together and reciprocate the noble knowledge, new evolutions and key issues in the fields related to new technology advancement and innovation in Mechanical Engineering
The conference focuses on a range of diverse research field but not limited to: Solid Mechanics, Structural, Thermal, Energy, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Materials Science, Mechatronics, Robotics and Control, Micro and Nano Mechanics, Automotive, Biomechanics, Bioengineering, Industrial Applied Mechanics, Multidisciplinary and Emerging Areas of Engineering.
You are cordially invited to participate in the 1st International Conference on Technology Innovation in Mechanical Engineering. TIME-2021 is looking forward to show the gap between knowledge and next generation development in Mechanical Engineering Innovations. We are looking forward to host you @TIME-2021 at Sagar Institute of Science and Technology Gandhi Nagar (SISTec) Bhopal.
