With the objective of better understanding of Spreadsheet amongst the students, SISTec MBA conducted a 5 Day StudentDevelopmentProgram (SDP) on “Spreadsheet Modeling through Management Cases” for MBA I Semester students.
A plethora of sessions were conducted during these five days which included “The importance of Spreadsheet modeling”, “fundamentalexcel operations”, “Learning the Excel shortcuts”, “FinancialMathematics”, “TVM and Spreadsheet output”, “V Look Up and H-Look Up”, “formattingbasics”, “loanamortization Statement”, “businesssituationanalysis through Spreadsheet” etc.
A total of 13 mini-cases and 4 large cases (from different industries) were used in the workshop to deliver hands-on expertise to the students. Students practised the same with vigour and submitted their work to the resource persons at the end of the workshop.
It had been an insightful and high engagement session for the students. The resource persons of the SDP were Prof. Somen Mitra, HoD MBA and Faculty Members, Prof. Ashish Mishra and Prof. Jyotika James.
