‘It is better to debate a question without settling it than to settle a question without debating it.’
With the same objective, Sagar Group of Institutions-SISTec organized an in-house debate competition ‘THE BIG BATTLE’ for all the students of the college on 5th August 2022. The students entered into the heat of debate showcasing their ideas and opinions on the topic- ‘Western culture is invading the roots of Indian tradition’. A qualifier round was conducted on 3rd August after which 16 finalists were shortlisted for the main event. Students came up with their own perceptions of culture and also had distinctive views on the impact of any culture on a particular milieu.
The event was judged by Ms. Pallavi Dixit (Assistant Professor at SISTec Ratibad) and Mr. Ashish Mishra (Assistant Professor at SISTec MBA), in the gracious presence of (Principal) Dr. Keshavendra Chaudhary and (Vice Principal) Dr. Swati Saxena. The audience consistently cheered the participants which boosted their confidence. The event summed up with the declaration of the result and prize distribution to the winners and runner ups.
