The first and foremost stick to NCERT book.
Remember this is the go-to book to revise and clear the fundamental understanding for the subject. Try to understand each topic at basic and conceptual level as examples mentioned in the book are extremely crucial for the exam.
Start with physical chemistry section. Treat each topic as a separate chapter and spend time solving examples. It is essential to learn all the formulae by heart to score well in this subject. Once the formulae are learnt, the examples are well-revised and the concepts are clear, try to implement these concepts and procedures by solving maximum MCQs. Seek regular advice on the areas that you are lagging in and how to improve marks from your teacher. If you get stuck anywhere take the help of your teacher and identify the questions which you are having problems with. Keep trying these questions again and again until you get a good grasp of the technique. Remember, practice will help you a lot so try to attempt at least 50 questions in a single sitting.
Inorganic chemistry is more about facts and less about concepts. People who can cram easily stand a better chance to score more in this section. Before starting the topics see the previous year
questions and analyse the topics from where maximum questions have been asked. Now prepare a formulae chart of important chemicals and minerals and keep revising it every day. Some topics such as coordination chemistry, chemical bonding, molecular structure and P Block chemistry are important, try to solve questions pertaining to these topics regularly. Try to make notes as you study each topic and keep revising those notes regularly.
Organic chemistry is a very demanding topic where you must register the themes with complete clarity. To achieve this, you need to start with NCERT books. Once you get a grasp of the topics, start consulting other relevant books also to have an edge over other competitors. Write all the name reactions given in NCERT and revise them everyday, when your concepts are clear, first try MCQs on small sections and then try for tougher questions. Since topics are interlinked it might get confusing at first, but do not lose heart. Keep on trying with strong determination.
